A little about ourselves . . .
Being a Word & Table fellowship
We're a small church, informal and friendly.
We're here to emphasize the ancient rituals of the church through reading Scripture, reciting the creeds, and receiving the Eucharist.
We're also here to worship with a contemporary rhythm whether the lyrics are familiar hymns or newer expressions of faith in song.
We're also committed to preaching the biblical witness of Christian faith by following the Revised Common Lectionary.
We're usually labeled as a Word & Table church with the dual emphasis on the preached Word as well as the visible Word depicted in the symbols of weekly Eucharist--the Bread and Wine*, the Body broken and the Blood poured out.
*We use non-fermented grape juice in solidarity with those in our community that struggle with substance abuse and in accordance with the Covenant of Christian Conduct of the Church of the Nazarene (The Manual, page 46 beginning at paragraph 28, especially paragraph 29.5)
